Beached Out

Sorry - no pictures from this afternoon. We spent the whole afternoon on the beach. It's just a block or two away. When we got there it was pretty empty. The beach stretched for miles and there were just some surfers. We put up our umbrella and laid out our blankets and plopped ourselves there for several hours. (With lots of sunscreen - don't worry).

Mark, Blake and Em went all the way in and used a boogie board to catch the waves. (And there were plenty of waves). I went in up to my ankles, as usual, and then read and ate potato chips. Very relaxing. :)

Later we went back to the hotel and Em and I swam in the pool. (I feel a lot safer in pools). We're meeting son #2 - Loren - for dinner at a Mexican restaurant in a couple of hours. Mark and I are about to have a before dinner glass of wine while Em watches cartoons and Blake takes a nap on the floor.
